planting echinacea

planting echinacea
Will my poor Lavendar and Echinacea come back, or did I let it die? =/?

I let a couple of my gardens go for most of the Summer, the weeds really took over. I have been tidying the gardens for Autumn, and I couldn’t find my new Lavendar and Echinacea plants I had added to the garden early this Summer.

Considering they are perrenials, is it possible that they have just died off for the season and will return – or is it more likely that the weeds choked them out??

Same thing with two out of three of my new Hostas I had planted. 2 have pretty much vanished, while I can see remnants of the third.

Your purple cones and your hostas may come back,, If your plants developed roots systems they may be back next spring.
The purple cones (Echinacea) are considered wild flower so weed are not a problem for them..
Sometimes mine die off during a drought if I don’t water but they have come back..
I don’t know about the lavender, it may not return..
Time will tell, next summer keep an eye out when new growth starts and care for them then..
