gardening fall crops

gardening fall crops
I have a plant with black berries growing on a spreading vine close to the ground.?

I’m in Oshawa, Ontario, and just noticed these growing close to my fall crop of raspberries. I’d like to find out what I have growing in my garden. I can take a picture of it, if that will help.

I also think that a picture would be helpful.

It could be nightshade. Berries are black, red or green. The plants usually have an unpleasant odor if the leaves or stems are handled. They are common where birds have the opportunity to spread their seeds (via poop).

Whatever the case, I would probably recommend purging out the “invaders” in the raspberry patch.

Good luck-
